A Tale told by Nagalo to all the clan pups at a gathering:: " Settle down pups and listen closely, this will give you insight into all that is wolf tradition in Aiyana. Now you know what Aiyana means right?
*Shake of heads*
*laughs* Ok well Aiyana means "eternal blossom" and thats what Aiyana is always doing, even through tragedy. This is our home and although we have new comers we can still love our land, our home.
::Alphas and Powers::
Oh oh I heard the Alphas have powers! How come we don't, Nagato?
Alphas have powers because they were bestowed to us by the creator. Each has a different power depending on their personality as a pup. We are given the power on the night of our leadership...in dreams. Some may use their power for evil but most use them to further the glory of Aiyana.
Alphas are chosen by the packs and then confirmed on the top of eagle-eye peak on a new moon. It's rather simple, but believe me when I say it's not all its cracked up to be *chuckles*
::Where the Packs stand::
As most of you know, the three packs of Aiyana all stand on different turf with the new threats of cats. My pack personally has no positive or negative feelings with the infestation of cats. The Kiwidinok Pack stands firm on helping the new cats get into a comfortable spot in Aiyana. I don't know what they hope to gain, but it's none of my business. The Gaagii Pack feels harsh anger for the cats and wishes to exterminate every single one once they step foot on Aiyana grounds.
The Kiwidinok pack is strong and so their power keeps the Gaagii at bay...for now.
::Ranks::
You pups have a long way to go to become full fledged Pack Members. But once you hit 2 you can become close to a member as a pup-in training. Then at 3 season-cycles you can finally become a pack member and fully give your loyalties to your leader. Maybe if you're lucky you'll become Beta and if the Alpha can no longer do his duties then you to can become Alpha. At 9, if you live long enough *laughs* you will be wisdom filled elders.
::Blessings on the land::
Although cats and wolves speak different dialects, in Aiyana we can understand all animal dialects. Communication can never be blamed for angry dispositions.
Honeydew Field is also a place bestowed by special annointing. It is safe for expecting mothers to give birth.
::Alpha gatherings at Full Moon island::
On full moons Alphas leave the pack under the command of the beta to make a trek to Full Moon Island to give an annual song of Howls to the creator as thanks. If a pack alpha doesn't show up, it is said that a curse will befall their territory but thi has never been proven...I think the creator would never punish.
Well pups, it seems the gathering is coming to an end and I must rejoin my pack for a time. Journey safely pups and I will see you again.
And so the gathering finishes and the pups say their goodbyes and leave back to packs.
